    LOL!

Bag of Tricks useful - great. ;D

Durkon bound, gagged and secretly comprehensible - good. :D

OotS in danger - scary :o

    Very funny.

Is that a stack of telephone directories under Belkar's feet? ;)

Is it me or the face of Sam's father shows that he doesn't aprove the execution at all?

Belkar's height extension looks like some yellow bricks... yellow bricks? in a forest?? :o

One thing i noticed while rereading some old OotS... did Durkon actually cast a Heal spell on the fami... on Blackwing?
I say this because the spell's name is usually what is shown on cast. Just wondering ???

Roy proves his great intelligence and superior strategic skills here. Prowess like what he shows certainly helped him obtain his fighter MBA.

I too love Belkar standing on a pile of books. There are few puns about his short stature.
I bet he'd teach anyone it's actually hobbit and most definitely not halfling that he wants to be called.

    Welcome, OrigamiWolf!

I should also note, this is one situation where Roy's makeshift weapon is more useful than his usual one - headbonks with a greatsword would be somewhat bloodier...

    Hello all!

Well seeing as how things are going, either the bandits know where Roy's starmetal thingy is or they actually already have it... :o So I can see how there is going to be a deal cut between oots and the bandits next week.

As for how Roy is going to get them out of the hanging...beats me! ;D

You see, THIS is the time where lighting a tent on fire as a distraction would come in handy. No, really. We did it in a town once when they were trying to hang one of our characters. Worked wonderfully. Burned down half the town, too. ;D

Yes, handy for the KO, but how are Roy and Durkon going to cut down the ropes with a club and a hammer?

So you do believe that there will be any starmetal at all?

Certainly! First off, quest-based rumors always vanish the instant a quest is completed. Find the great magical whatever in the dungeon of something-or-other on the forgotten plains of doom, 1,000 miles from anywhere, and instantly no NPC will ever talk about it again. ;D

Secondly, if the forest really is as dangerous as Nale believes, odds are that any other adventurers who went after the starmetal were killed before they got there. Or ambushed by the bandits, robbed, and left to wander alone in the wilderness...

The bandit guards were armed with swords... Did Roy had the foresight of taking one of these swords for himself?

You know what could save the Order, now?
Spoiler: A tree attack. Some ents moving against the bandits, for whatever reason. It would be a bit a deus ex machina, which are seldom interesting, but with all of Durkon's raves...

Oh sure, because just out of some wacky coincidence, there actually is some around the forest ^_^ Just because we know that Nale set them up doesn't mean that the players won't find some, no matter how improbable.

No, no. Don't forget, The OotS are D&D characters. It doesn't matter if it's a sword or a club or a rapier. Doing non-lethal damage is -4 to hit!

    What?!

You have never sent your players on a quest only to find a looted dungeon? :o ::)

But although it was fun you are right that it shouldn't be a regular occurence.. :P

Loved the panel where Roy's silhouette shows up behind the guard, just as the guy is wondering why the kitten is out there alone. Very good page, and some definite dramatic tension mixed in with the humor!
