Battle Order Question

When the players put down monsters for the other plays to play against, who's monster goes on top. Is it that the player on your left goes on top and all further monsters go underneath, or is it that the player directly to your left is on bottom and all the monsters stack after that?

Monsters are played from top to bottom, so that the first Monster played is the top Monster in the Battle Stack.

So, the Monster played by the player to your left goes on top, and all others go underneath...
