Is a Roper actually a Sudowoodo?

That looks like a creature disguised as a dead tree trunk, not a stalagmite.
Am I being crazy or is the art genuinely deceptive?

Re: Is a Roper actually a Sudowoodo?
As a D&D player who also plays Pokemon..... no. There is no similarity beyond being tall and rock-like.
I mean, the roper doesn't even have three green balls for fingers or walk on two legs! The easy I do before breakfast,
The difficult I do all day long,
The impossible achieved during the workweek,
Miracles performed when possible.

Re: Is a Roper actually a Sudowoodo?
Nah, the Roper is what evolves from Sudowoodo. You can get it in the games, but it involves Missing No., time travel, two master balls, a lifetime supply of rare candy, and Nurse Joy's underwear. Only one guy in Topeka, Kansas has ever managed to achieve this feat, and he died in the process.
Hey, Snopes confirmed it, it must be true!Current Games:

Playing Rivers in Welcome to Thorns [Exalted 3E]

"..in fact you could say it were the master balls that got me Nurse Joy's underwear in the first place! G'night folks!"
