With Sam's assistance, I wheel Banjo to the infirmary, where I hook him up to EKG electrodes, and the such, and put leather restraining straps over his limbs. He is crazy, after all.

I pause, and then motion for a DRD to finish with the rest.

Ugh. I actually have a slight phobia of crazy people...

Anyway, Ms. SAS, when should we go check out that island?

I smile, blushing ever so slightly, and begin to make myself some lunch, and get some tylenol for a headache that's manifested itself.

Kal walks into the kitchen, wearing Randy's shirt, and some slightly too small swimming shorts. Getting himself a protein shake, he sits down, and greets Randy. Hey.

Kal, wiping his eyes, says I'll go and get some now, while I think of it. He vanishes, for a few seconds, and re-appears, wearing a stylish sweater, and nice jeans. He holds out Randy's shirt, clean and dry. Voila. Sitting down again, he asks And how are you today?

One of my eyes goes wide, the other quints. How'd... You get new clothes that fast? I don't even know where the nearest store is...

Actually, nice outfit. I am fine today. Managed to sedate that crazy guy, but he had an allergic reaction to the sedatives, and went into anaphylactic shock. But Sam got some epinephrine quickly, and Tempest healed him, and now he's sound asleep, strapped into a stretcher in the infirmary.

Well, I'm pretty fast... and, well, thanks. Kal blushes at Randy's compliment (interestingly, as he's grown older, his blood has changed to crimson, rather than lilac). Yet, he looks worried, saying, Wait, what crazy guy? He incinerates the bottle of his drink, as he finishes it.

What, Banjo? He's not crazy. Kal laughs a little, as he stretches, appreciating the fact that his new clothes don't rip instantly. His muscles ripple impressively, as he says He's a just a little strange. Oh, and didja hear about Sizzle?

Not crazy? He was screaming like a cat running through the halls squirting people with catsup from a squirt gun.
Oh, and I saw what happened to Sizzle...

Well... a lot strange. Combined with pretty damn stupid, and impressionable. And poor Sizzle. That guy doesn't exactly emanate good luck, does he? Kal gets some sausages out the fridge, with some vegetables, and stock.

I suppose it's a rational thing to be afraid of... Dicing the ingredients, Kal tosses them in a large pot, and directs one eye's worth of heat vision at them, for a while. So...

Kal laughs a little, before finishing cooking the food, and starting to put some in a bowl. I was gonna wait for you to say something. Umm... I apologise for what I did in the past, which... you know. I was just a kid, and I'm sorry.

Oh. Right. Yeah, don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure I thought a lot less clearly when I was that age. I look back on memories. Damn sure...

Kal smiles shyly, before getting some cutlery out to eat. Want some? It's stew.

Kal ladles out a large serving in a bowl, and hands it to Randy shyly, along with a serviette, and some cutlery. There y'are. He sits down with his own portion, and starts to eat.

I begin to eat, hiding the fact that it doesn't taste so great perfectly. Man, I actually want to go to that island of daemons now. I've been reading up on all this evil force, and been practicing with my psionics, now I actually want to see it come together, and get to ridding those guys.

Kal nods. Well, try not to die. What kind of demons are we talking here? Realising that this is by no means his best meal, he, using superspeed, replaces the meals with something he bought earlier, and heated up with his vision. Food OK?

I look at the food suspiciously. Uh yeah. It's good... I take another bite, wondering what the heck happened to the bad taste.
