I'm in the living room, sitting on a sofa with a book on arcane runes in one hand, and some old parchment with runes covering it almost entirely on the other hand.

Sam fixes herself a sandwich and eats it quietly before walking around some more, looking into the living room.

So according to this book, this is some sort of magical scroll. I raise my eyebrows to try to make it all faux-mysterious, and stifle a smile. It'll give any weapon the lord's ability to smite evil ass, the only problem is that I need to find someone who has both knowledge of guns and magic. I'm gonna get them to enchant my MP7...

Sam laughs. Very cool. Hm. Toby knows a bit about guns, hates them though. Two problems with using him are that I don't know what kind of magic the scroll is and... well... I think he's a little under the weather.

Etesian teleports to the base and floats into the living room. Hey everyone. ((There are people there, right? ))

Uh oh, what's happened to him? I heard something about some druidess who wants his soul or something...

I wave at Etesian from the living room.

((Greece against who? I should know this... Heh, did you see Germany rape Poland? And I was actually going for Romania, they did awesome.))

Long story short, he is sharing the body with that druidess you heard about and he's worried she'll take control. A pager goes off in Sam's pocket and she looks at it. Sorry, Randy, I've got to take care of something, see you later. She then teleports away, to England specifically.

((Deadtime for maybe an hour...))

Etesian dematerializes for a second, then reappears sitting cross-legged on a floating pouf of cloud, sipping from a straw in a Pina Colada. Who are you guys talking about?

Tobias and his alter ego. Hey, I don't suppose you know much about guns and magic? I've got this scroll to give my MP7 divine ass-kicking powers, but I have no idea how to use it.
Oh. And about Laily. When can I talk to her?

While I've got her attention, I try to nonchalantly take the pina colada from her hand gently, and take a few sips without her realizing. Something I used to do to people all the time back on Earth.

Guns? She shakes her head. No, I'm afraid not. She notices Randy take a sip. Tuts quietly, and then another Pina Colada floats in from the kitchen on its own little cloud. Oh, Laily... She is silent for a few moments, as if contemplating something important. She finally finishes, with a look of relief on her face. You can talk to her now if you like.

River appears with a flash and gold sparkle-ish things appear and are swept up, then settle on the floor. She is very happy.

Etesian looks at River a little suspiciously, dematerializes and reforms in the kitchen. Hiya Randy. Wanna come over here? Etesian says it's best if no-one else sees me.

I smile and nod at River, before going into the kitchen.

Hey Laily. How's everything going? Been learning a good bit I suppose.

River wonders what Etesian's problem was, but acknowledges Randy's greeting.

Sam teleports into her room.

[Ethrael]

He sees Etesian standing, looking nervous, at the counter, wringing her wrists. When she sees him, she gasps and launches herself onto him, hugging him ferociously. Hi Randy. She whispers, smiling. Her smile has a tinge of sadness to it, more wizened than when he last saw her, but it is definetely hers.

I hug Laily back, somewhat as ferociously, not wanting to hurt her. How's it going?

Sam (my Sam) is still in the archery range... Her hands are noticably shaking.

She pulls back the arrow, manages to get control and fire, hitting the bullseye as normal.

Then grabs another arrow...

She smiles again. It's fine. She replies, somewhat more in control of herself. I just...I just see too much. Etesian has existed for over a hundred millennia, billennia even, and they're trying to get all that knowledge into me. It's sad to see the truths of the world.

Her face seems to morph suddenly. It changes back to a cold, stern face, completely control of the body, which suddenly snaps to control. Randy hears Etesian's voice both telepathically and verbally. That's enough now, Laily.

Her face changes back to Laily's, insecure and slightly more human. But- but I've only been speaking to him for a few seconds! She protests. Her face changes again. Still, you have said enough to last a lifetime.

Sam walks into the living room, reloading her Glock.

Etesian, let her talk some more. And is there any chance we could talk alone? Even though it is your body... I say the first sentence with... not menace, but there is a very strong spine behind those words.

Ms. Goswell decides to go to the range. Where she sees Sam. Hullo.

[Ethrael]

Her body swings her head to look at Randy. You, stay out of this. Oh please be quiet, will you? You're not gonna actually do anything within the next two minutes we'll be talking. You don't know what you're talking about. Come on, just let us talk. You're not allowed. We have to go. This last is directed at Randy. He may feel a slight breeze against him. No. I don't want to. Laily, you will come. I want to talk to Randy! Laily, we are leaving!!

On this last word, the breeze which has been stop-starting over the conversation, suddenly blasts outwards around the room. Lighter things will be blown away, but Randy will feel the blast slightly weaker around him. Etesian and her body are gone.
