Tempest enters the kitchen and starts preparing breakfast while wondering why parts of the base are damp.

Panda wanders into the kitchen.

Hi. How have you been lately? I haven't been seing much of you. Tempest gets an apple for Panda.

I been with daddy, hiding from biiiig water, and nasty undead blood go splodey man. Panda says, as it tentatively chomps its apple.

[Tempest Fennac]

Tempest sounds concerned. When did this happen? Do you know why the base is damp, and what did the undead guy look like? Also, would you like something to eat other then apples? Tempest gets a sausage for Panda.

The panda tries the sausage, but shies away from it, spitting out his mouthful. Backing away a little, clutching his apple, he says Me no know where water came from, but it went away later. And undead man was called Vegetable and he wore robes, and was old, and bloody, and went boom when I heal him, he was icky!

[Tempest Fennac]

Vegetable? Wait a minute, you don's mean Vegarius do you? When did he become undead? I know he's unhealthy, but this information's new to me. Tempest tries giving Panda some chopped tomatoes with a spoon.

Panda is slightly concerned about why Tempest's doing this, but does tries the chopped tomatos. He was all BOOOM when I go an' heal him with your magic.

[Tempest Fennac]

I never knew you could use my magic. Wait, I think I remember you copying some of it a while back. What happened t Vegarius' corpse after he exploded? Did you want to try anymore different types of food?

[Kaelaroth]

The panda says Why you keep givin' me food, mistah? Daddy says I shouldna take thingies from strangers. He no go biiig boom, so no die, but blood goes everywhere all over him.

[Tempest Fennac]

I just wondered if you wanted to try some new things (I've only ever seen you eat apples, so I thought there was a chance that you'd like a change). That still sounds disturbing. Did anything happen before he exploded?

[Kaelaroth]

He cough, me heal, he boom. The panda opens the fridge with his powers, and wanders inside to have a look. The door then closes on him.

[Tempest Fennac]

Tempest opens the door due tonot wanting Panda to freeze. He told me yesterday that a Heal spell can't cure his narcolepsy. He's probably got something else wrong with him that stops magic from healing him properly. (He's not an undead or anything. At least I don't think he is.....

[Kaelaroth]

He mean though. He wouldna let me help, see? Though he did try an' give me din-din, so he must be danger, as it be stranger danger, see? The Panda seem remarkably unfased, and has discovered some gingered bamboo, which he is happily munching on. He hops out the fridge, onto the ground.

[Tempest Fennac]

He's a HALO member, so he shouldn't be a danger to you. Just thinking, did you learn ny offensive spells at all? If you want one, I'd be happy to give you Orb of Electricity. Glitterdust, Acid Fog and Dimention Hop are useful as well.

Glitter! Glitter! The panda says, sounding excited. That sound shiny pretty. Me do them too, but prob'ly different. He creates some force fireworks.

[Tempest Fennac]

That is pretty. Glitterdust temporarily blinds people whil outlining invisible creatures. If you want the spell, I'd be happy to give it to you (as long as it doesn't stop me from casting it, but I'm guessing that won't be a problem, right?).

Yes please! The panda waits, entranced, to see what Tempest does.

[Tempest Fennac]

Tempest will let the Panda take some of his magic in the same way that he did when Panda learnt healing magic. Tempest will then leave after saying goodbye. By the way, Glitterdust is really good for a level 2 spell, so don't abuse it. (Deadtime. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I will be back onlater this afternoon unless plans change a lot. See you later.)

A greenish portal opens up in the kitchen, and the tuxedo-goons throw me back into HALO.

I slowly get up. I've got cuts and bruises on my face and fists, and one of my eyes is blackened.

Panda runs (well, toddles) in, concerened, bursting into tears. He tries to cast heal on Randy, while his furry little paws hammer on the man's chest - just in case he needs rather pathetic CPR.

Just very sore. And outraged at this kind of injustice.

I smile a bit. "Proper" is a British word if I ever saw one. I bet this panda is actually on her majesty's secret service or something. I could see it. Fooling us into thinking it's a cute little panda, while it analyzes us as possible threats to the queen and country.

The panda pulls out a phone. He knows too much! It shouts, and a SWAT team bursts in, pummelling Randy into the ground, in the name of the Queen.

((I have now decided to switch panda to first person, at least for a trial run, to be more like his adoptive family))
