Random generic Fantasy background generator
When lacking a concept or seeking a challenge I've always liked to roll stats for my characters and then fiddle with the results to create something unique out of them, recently I figured out that doing the same for all of the character's general details might be fun- this thread contains the results.
Notice that these rules are meant to provide a general outline that the player is supposed to color and adjust to his needs.
Any additions are welcome and encouraged.

Re: Random generic Fantasy background generator
Nice enough set of tables. My only comment would be do you really want everything equally wheighted?

Re: Random generic Fantasy background generator
Is the height in meters or feet? If it were 120cm + (10(1d8) + 1d10)cm, I would understand, as I would 2 ft 08 in + (1d8 x 10 + 1d10) in.
Not labeling your units is quite confusing. It ruined more than one US space probe.
Nitpicky: I've never seen kilograms abbreviated k"g...
Also, this seems to be only good for humans... elves, dwarves, and other fantasy races have different age, weight, and height spreads than humans.

Re: Random generic Fantasy background generator
Sigurd: Thanks, and could you please explain the 'equally weighted' comment? I fail to understand what you mean.
Mando Knight: Yeah, I'm using meters.
I could write charts for other races, but so far it seems no one around here would be interested in actually using them so I'd prefer to save myself the effort until someone in my group needs them.

Re: Random generic Fantasy background generator
I gave it a test drive here. To summerise, these are the results I got.
The character is Female. Stands 1'32cm tall. Weight is 62 kg. Is 28 years old. Her eyes are Brown. Her skin is Very Black. Her hair is Floor length, and it's style is wavey. Colored Grey. She is wealthy, and is Minor Noblility. Her mother is dead. No siblings. Despite being Nobility, she has little academic prowess. She is Anti-theist. Alignment Lawful Good. She has no great love. Her personality is: Shy, Humorous, Loyal, Confident, Focused, and Pessimist.
Hmm. It works pretty good. I like it. Randomness opens the way for very funny combinations.

Re: Random generic Fantasy background generator
There are random Height/Weight charts in the 3.X PHBs for the races in there.

Re: Random generic Fantasy background generator
Nice charts, GP. I actually came up with a similar set of tables for demons, so as to make them more randomized & varied.
