Re: GITP Monster Competition XXVI Voting Thread
My vote goes for the Unspoken Chorous - I like the idea of a sound-based incorporeal creature, and sound gets the shaft in D&D anyway.
Plus, y'know, I don't wanna be crass enough to vote for myself.

Im going to abstain from voting. It would be wrong to vote for mine, i cant choose between a few of the more serious ones. (sorry to the reaper and the chicken, but they seem to frivolous for me)

I'm giving my vote to Bubba. I've got comments for these critters but I'll reserve them for now. Needless to say, good job by all.

Could the Free Spirit be technically covered in penises? If so, it gets my vote.

Re: GITP Monster Competition XXVI Voting Thread
You see a translucent sphere about 2 feet in diameter hovering in mid-air, every part of it is covered in eyes, ears, and other sensory organs. Its gazes combine carefree joy, with an equally strong intensity. Occasionally it deforms to extrude a small psuedopod.
Isn't a penis a sensory organ?

Re: GITP Monster Competition XXVI Voting Thread
Only if a succubus used her magic to pervert (literally) its form... otherwise... no. Good God in Heaven (no that isn't profanity, I mean it quite seriously...) NO!
That having been said, if bioengineering succubi are plausible in your campaign and you REALLY want to go that route with one of them, then it is your campaign... but I don't think it would improve the campaign unless done VERY skillfully...Last edited by DracoDei; 2011-01-02 at 09:39 AM.

Re: GITP Monster Competition XXVI Voting Thread
Y'know, I find it to be kind of insulting and demeaning that Bubba is getting all these votes; there are a number of perfectly serious entries where work and care was placed into their creation, and the fact that a headless ghost chicken is beating them is an insult to their creators in my mind.
I don't care if I win or not - but for the love of all that's holy, try to consider a creature that takes itself seriously.

Re: GITP Monster Competition XXVI Voting Thread
I always put effort into what I make. Every entry I've ever made has been dark horror type material, and for once I decided to go with comedy to be different. It's winning by 1 vote currently. One vote is not exactly a landslide. I wasn't expecting it to be controversial. Hell I figured that would've happened with teh Pembunuh a while back.

Re: GITP Monster Competition XXVI Voting Thread
*Sigh*
While half of me really loves my creation, I can't in good conscious vote for myself, even if it would tie up the score. So give my vote to the Sons/Daughters of Silence, because I do love the fact that it's an inverse Unspoken Chorus in many ways...
Ingredients
2oz Djinn
5oz Water
1 Lime Wedge
Instructions
Pour Djinn and tonic water into a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with lime wedge. Serve.
