Re: arcane implement dose it make a diffrence?
It does not matter for warlock's however the following applies to wizards:
Wand: 1/encounter you can add your dex modifier to your attack roll with any wizard power
Staff: +1 AC, 1/encounter you may increase AC by your Con Modifier.
Woops, I think that was orb of imposition. I forget what a regular orb does...
Orb: 1/encounter you may reduce an enemy's saving throw by your Wis Modifier.Last edited by Shades of Gray; 2008-12-06 at 04:25 PM.

Re: arcane implement dose it make a diffrence?
It matters a lot, crunch-wise.
The wand lets you hit more often, if you have decent dexterity. Note that dexterity has little use to a wizard since it mostly overlaps with intelligence.
The staff protects you. Even if you don't have constitution, that's a flat +1 to AC, which is always good. Constitution is nice (especially since strength isn't).
The orb makes some of your effects last longer. This is mostly irrelevant early on, and the most powerful variant in the paragon and epic tiers. It is keyed off wisdom, and a high wisdom is very useful for many reasons.Last edited by Kurald Galain; 2008-12-06 at 04:22 PM.
