Re: Afterlife 2
So, why did no-one die? We've all claimed vanillager so the kill couldn't have been blocked. So...
- wolf forgot to submit a kill?
- wolf chose not to submit a kill?
- our Unreliable Narrator means wolves can't kill?
I really hope it's the last one.
Anyway, going to try again at figuring out Taffimai but if I can't I'll probably just vote Wombat.I'm writing stuff, come and read it!

Re: Afterlife 2
But it was entertaining. And could have stopped wolves killing someone.
...yeah, I have no motivation for anything related to this game any more.
Book Wombat can die. If he flips town and the game's still going... actually in that case I'll be alive and can state my reads myself.I'm writing stuff, come and read it!

Re: Afterlife 2
It's all a ploy to make me seem more suspicious!
Going to post a short analysis kind of thing soon (hopefully).
- - - Updated - - -
Honestly I don't know why no one died last night unless the wolf killing someone would reveal too much about themselves. Killing me wouldn't make much sense as I am the main public suspect (safe to vote and not seem suspicious), killing flame12 would weird for me (aforementioned main suspect) to do as I voted them yesterday (maybe?), and killing Taffimai or Snowblaze would probably be rather safe as they are pretty much trusted by everyone so no potential lynch targets lost (at least in my opinion). Huh, basically nothing worth saying it seems actually because I don't feel like reading through the game again. Welp.
Or someone alive has a power role. It's moi, Vanir II! ...I wish.
- - - Updated - - -
Voting flame12 again I guess?
Fire is the enemy of books after all... Why not join me Snowblaze! Don't you want to smother the smouldering fires with storms of snow and ice?Last edited by Book Wombat; 2021-12-02 at 12:14 PM. Reason: Another way of hiding secret messages, I died because of this once.

Re: Afterlife 2
Yes, you should have. There are several explanations:
- AV likes symmetry, and since the first day was extra long, the last one has to be as well
- It's all part of the "unreliable narrator" shtick
- Life Happens in Texas just like anywhere else
- A dashingly handsome young vampire has whisked AV away, never to be heard of again!
- She's inundated with fan mail.

Apologies, for some reason I thought we had one more player than this still in the game. Game should've ended at the end of Day 5.
With so few ghosts remaining, the remainder were easy for Taffimai to frame.
Snowblaze died. They were a Vanillager.
Taffimai survived and won. They were a Lone Saboteur.

*sigh*
So close. I was nearly there day four and then everyone else voted for the inactives and I figured even if I did vote Taffimai it wouldn't make an actual difference.
So, if it wasn't our Unreliable Narrator, why was there no kill night four?I'm writing stuff, come and read it!

Re: Afterlife 2
Taffimai initially was going to target the already-dead moonfly7 just for laughs, and then decided to target nobody on purpose for the memes/paranoia.
Oh, and the redacted part of my own role reveal was "this doesn't do anything mechanically, but it does mess with the player's heads".

Re: Afterlife 2
Well, this is nice to wake up to!
AV, thanks for running!
Moonfly, sorry for killing you.
Supagoof, sorry for being so spectacularly dense.
Snow, sorry for messing with your head.
I also want to share this picture which accurately sums up AV's response when I voiced my expectation that we'd be allowed to PM the other wolves if we found each other at night:

Was there something like a dead chat this game? I assume not, but I'd like to read it if I'm wrong.

Re: Afterlife 2
Good game everyone! I enjoyed it and would be interested in playing this kind of a setup again (not sure if knowing how mafia works would change things). Having to search for mafia members is interesting and it they were just as much of a threat to each other as town.
It sucks for town that we picked the one wagon on a townie Day 1. If I had known about unconnected Mafia I definitely would have held onto my results and hid in the group a bit longer. Knowing how mafia worked would definitely have helped.
I also find it funny that the only two people not voting me were both mafia. Guess I went to far to avoid being a potential Night kill.Avatar by AstralSeal

Re: Afterlife 2
Hey, no worries on that. Totally ok to bus me, it's entirely what I was doing to Moonfly and him to me. Gave each other some credit when the flag was pointed at us. That is the perfect response to the no chat. I did honestly think it was ok for wolves to chat once they found each other (I was corrected.)
"And I would have gotten away with it too, except for the darn seer!"
I intentionally kept quiet that day when others were "Lynch him". I didn't feel the need to validate his claim by responding. It worked, kinda. Even if I had been lynched, he would have been night killed. So there was no loss to me giving it or not giving it any credence. Hugs Caoimhin.
I found you on my last night Taff - so I knew you were a wolf when I was going under. Hence, me trying to relay any information I had to you and to mess with everyone else's head was my only objective that day. So glad that you became a lead voice unto everyone else because of it. And kudos to you for making sure you have the first point on the wagon each day after with a strong wagon on Book. I enjoyed to no night kill option - to me, that was very wise. My guess is that it allowed you to keep the lynch focus on Book and leave you the option to end the game on your terms. (Where as killing someone that night may remove the attention from book and leading to more focus on who to lynch the last day.) Am I right?

I also wanted to make sure I said this.
BEST. NARRATION. EVER!
Seriously, AV broke the game and won. I was laughing so much (and still smile when I think of it) at their response to being lynched. EPIC!!!!!

Re: Afterlife 2
Nope, I could not. I had just found you as a wolf with my intended night kill action.
Which is why I was also surprised at Moonfly getting night killed. I'm still unsure as to how that happened exactly? Unless Moonfly targeted himself, or the two of us picking him on seperate nights led to that?

Re: Afterlife 2
Amazing! That means that I've had an entire imaginary conversation with you
I might reconstruct and post that later so everyone can share in the hilarity.
As to Moonfly, my guess is that the three of us all targeted someone else, thus creating a three-way tie, and Moonfly sadly got picked at random from those three.

Re: Afterlife 2
Not a pkayer but I was definitely amused by the text weirdness.
EDIT: you know what I'm just going to leave that typo there, it seems appropriate.
AV's Unreliable Narrator role reveal explained that wolf ties resulted in one target being randomly picked to die. So, yeah, my guess is you and moonfly voted for two different people, Taffimai voted moonfly, and to resolve the three-way tie one target, moonfly, was randomly picked.Last edited by Elenna; 2021-12-06 at 04:43 PM.

Re: Afterlife 2
What happened is that Supagoof voted Taffimai, and Taffimai voted moonfly7, and moonfly7 didn't vote until some 12 hours after I had already declared them dead. It was Taff or moon dying that night, scum either way.
Naturally, moonfly did vote before checking the thread. They voted to NK Taffimai. Lol rip.

Yeah, it was a pretty interesting game to follow from the outside. I like how you literally broke the narrator.
