I'm not guessing at random, though I don't know the strip. Logically, Haley is the only one who would say that.
-Belkar has never complimented anyone
-Roy thinks Élan is basically a giant toddler
-Varauuvius feels he is not intelligent, his(her?) most important worth-determining factor.
-Haley is in love with Élan and would very likely say that, probably in defense against an accusation from Belkar or Roy concerning the nature of her relationship with Élan.
Hence, though I do not know the exact circumstances, I can extrapolate that it was Haley.
EDIT: I was wrong, that was completely cheap, you need to quote not paraphrase that majorly, especially given the connotation of the phrase "a deep person".

I'm not exactly angered, but more annoyed, it gets boring to have the same question popping up time and time again. You were just rephrasing it for a second go, but even if it's allowed there should be a limit. Sorry Endon, but HOW many times have you rephrased this one question?

I generally agree with MoonCat here. The original rule is fine; you should be allowed to rephrase. But there's such a thing as rule overuse, which makes it wear thin eventually.

Also, there's a difference between rephrase - find a different, more precise way to word the question so it has a smaller number of possible answers - and just simply rewrite and rule out the last answer. Over and over again.

HappyBlanket, I accept that you find this funny, but you need to accept that others might not. For "blue eyes, white aura", it was reasonable. But in the case of "find two lightning (bolts)", I really think Endon pushed the thing a little to far. Just my 2 cents.

That said, I'm not sure if we can write a solid rule (or if we should try to). Let's just all try to leave some breathing room for new, different questions, OK ?

In reference to the rephrasing thing I think a simple rule would be to say that no rule can be rephrased more than 3 times. Also note that even though I didn't get my Paladin question answered the way I wanted I (correctly) assumed that people would be sick of rephrases by that point after the shocking amount of lightning questions. So a bit of personal discretion should be advised

ANYWAY. I nearly failed to notice before (again, sorry), but I see what you mean by boring. The last few pages have basically been the three of us (Martian, Endon, myself) on repeat, which is ridiculous no matter how you look at it.

...Not to shift the blame away from me, because I know I'm just as guilty of contributing to the monotony, but by my count the lightning question was rephrased five or six different times.

As for a fix: A limit to rephrasing could work pretty well, but three times still seems like a stretch. Why don't we simply rid ourselves of repeats entirely, with monotony as the justification? If anybody doesn't get the answer he/she was looking for, that person could simply post with the intended answer instead of asking again.
...And, you know, I feel repeating my own question was more a matter of vanity than playfulness. Wasn't so much "Ooh, nice answer, but can you guess someone else?" than it was "Fine, I'll accept that, I guess, but I bet you can't get the real answer."
