OOTS #G002 - The Discussion Thread
Issue #2 of Gygax magazine is out. (As it was with issue #1, I received my PDF copy before my print copy.)
Issue #2 includes OOTS #G002, "Wandering Mommies and Daddies". Funny, but also touching on some of the themes of deeper NPC characterization and D&D morality that we've seen in the main comic.
(Here's a link to the thread for OOTS #G001, "A Classic for a Reason". The continuity of OOTS #G002 is very much directly after OOTS #G001.)

Why so it is.
Awwww, that's so touch...
*pause*
BWHAHAHAHAHA. I admit it, I laughed out loud in Real Life. It's times like this that the Mel Brooks defintion of comedy comes to mind.
Feel for the poor wererat though.
ETA::: Huh. Didn't notice this in #G001, but Haley's had a slight clothing redesign. It's there alright though. She's now sporting a sleeveless look that's about halfway between her current clothing in mainline-continuity and the standard look she had for so long.
It was pretty subtle in #G001, but it's more obvious here. There seems to be more detail on her clothing and boots as well. Same goes for Roy. Looks like all of the characters got minor art upgrades for their new hangout.Last edited by Porthos; 2013-08-20 at 03:39 PM.

Yeah, the detail on Roy's armor seems a bit more developed than in the main comic. There's more detail on his belt, he has a line on the side of his armor marking where the back and front plates come together, and you can see the wrapping on the Greenhilt Sword. Very nice! Looking back at #G001, it looks like Elan's boots have laces, V has different hair, Durkon's armor has the same modifications that Roy's does... it looks like the only one that didn't receive an art upgrade of some sort was Belkar.
...although I do feel bad for that poor Wererat.
...also, that dude from comic #G001 has a HUGE basement.Last edited by rgrekejin; 2013-08-28 at 09:54 PM.

OotS in Gygax Magazine
I'm hoping this is the right place to put this, but I was overjoyed to find out that Order of the Stick is in Gygax Magazine - I wasn't expecting it when I got my hardcopy version, but it was a very pleasant surprise.
Does anyone else who's read it feel sorry for the wererat?

Re: OotS in Gygax Magazine
While this would be the appopriate place to discuss this, i know they already have a thread open on this topic. It's probably a few weeks old, but that's probably the best place to discuss this

Re: OotS in Gygax Magazine
I looked and couldn't find one, especially not one pertaining to the latest comic. I'll try a more careful search.

Found it.
And yes, poor were-rat. The Order's magazine strip appearances have a tendency toward Bumbling Good.

Re: OotS in Gygax Magazine
I didn't know about this until yesterday. I hope Miko the Avenger made an appearance.

I know I'm stealing this from someone else. But it's SO FUNNY

Re: OotS in Gygax Magazine
How come OOTS's Gygax Magazine has not been mentioned by Mr Burlew on the News page and only got a lip service mention on twitter?
