That's why I could never do a Nuzlocke run. I could never pass up the chance to catch a shiny. When I first played Gold I ran into a shiny Oddish but ran out of pokeballs. I was eight; I thought if I reset and moved the exact same way I could have a chance of catching it again...

I never really forgave myself for losing that shiny, but at least I caught 10 others in my newer games, not counting events and Gyarados.
