Background
SpoilerJonlas IV was the artificial creation of the wizard Jonlas Lankhannen. He was the fourth incarnation, but the first to be given sentience. He was formed from the combination of both corpses of various magical and mundane creatures and specially-mixed alchemical components. With the ability to shift his form into any living creature that he has seen, the wizard Lankhannen used him to spy on his enemies and assassinate those who caused him trouble.
After performing an assassination on a rival wizard, Jonlas happened upon the woman’s library. This target had been different. This woman had not wronged his master. Up until that point he had been sent against those who had somehow worked to draw his master's ire. This time he had been told to kill the woman and retrieve her wand, for the master desired its power.
Curiosity, naivety, and the confusion overcame his directive from Lankhannen, and he opened a tome about a place called “The Town.” After spending hours perusing the dead wizard’s library, Jonlas decided to find this place called “Town.” Taking a single wand from his target’s study, and the book on The Town’s history, Jonlas headed out on foot. The journey was long… and harsh, but Jonlas eventually arrived in Town, nearly collapsing in the streets from hunger and exhaustion.
Common Knowledge:
SpoilerIn his typical form, he resembles a younger version of his former master. He is tall, of medium build, and quite handsome with long, shaggy brown hair that occasionally hangs over a pair of brown eyes. However, he can assume many different forms, though he will only occasionally do this. He has a natural talent with fighting with various forms of blades and sneaking, having extensive assassination training from his master. He is still incredibly ill-informed of the outside world and is thus extremely open to suggestion. He has no knowledge of good and evil, knowing only orders.
Seduced by LaRoth, Jonlas briefly aided her in her plot by kidnapping Melody and assisting an assault on GLoG headquarters. He was injured and left for dead by those he thought were friends. He stewed in a holding cell for a few days until freed by Alexander and Rabbit Vasque.
He has grown aspirations of becoming his own master, one day. But this will largely depend on if his internal growth is properly guided. He has taken his first steps to achieving this goal thanks to Rabbit Vasque, who successfully severed his connection to his former master.

Description: Just your average looking Fey'ri/Goblin/Lich. Seeing as how much they like to change shape, though, who knows if that's what he looks like.
Equipment and Abilities: The usually wizardy stuff you probably don't want to deal with. One of his more unusual items is a bag of jellybeans he keeps with him at all times. You don't ever see him eat one, though...
Plus all the advantages and disadvantages that come with being a lich. Such as immunity to mind affecting stuff.
Backstory: Back in the day, he lived the average Fey'ri life of political intrigue and backstabbery (they're worse than the drow). Upon learning of a soon to be murder attempt, being frustated with it all, and, well, being a teenage demon elf thing, he decided to leave for good. This... didn't go over so well with the Fey'ri society, seeing as how their home was well hidden from the world and any potential leak was viewed as a serious threat. Now hunted by both his kind and all who held stereotypes against him, he fled and used his shapeshifting abilities to hide as best he could.
Perhaps inevitably, he found his way amongst adventurers, constantly working even against them to keep his secret, lest his former queen's assassins find him. Through many twists and turns he found a gateway to another world, far from Faerun. Upon traveling through this gate, he was reincarnated as a Gobber, though for some reason he maintained his demonic wings. This place mixed technology and magic like he had never seen. Eventually he learned how to harness this gate technology and build it himself. Once he did, he made sure to destroy any others who knew, as well as any other gates he could find. Building one in a secret place, he came here, and is now attempting to accomplish his goal.
Originally, his goals started out small as to be expected from a rebellious teenager. He wanted to end the persecution of his people. Eventually he grew to realize this wouldn't happen so chose instead on becoming a powerful mage. Even later he decided his goal was to become a lich(succeeded) and take over his own race's kingdom, then take over the world, then become a god, and finally destroy the world. It is at this last goal he stands now, having abandoned the rest.

Description
SpoilerCade is a thin, sullen looking boy in his late teens. His unruly mop of hair is dyed a deep red, and tends to hang over his eyes most of the time. Cade likes that just fine; it’s his eyes that show more about him than he wants to talk about, it’s his eyes that give a suspicion of the trauma that he’s been through. They are a deep brown, and look much older and tired than they should in one of his age. It’s obvious that he was once a handsome boy, and may well be again, but recent experiences have left him looking shell-shocked and care-worn.
Cade tends towards wearing neutral colours like greys and blacks, usually with a pair of worn jeans and trainers. He rarely speaks right now, when he does his voice cracks and wavers, like his vocal chords are recovering from some injury. He gives the impression of someone who has had to deal with far more recently than anyone ever should, someone who would end his suffering if only he could bring himself to.
Backstory
SpoilerCade had a happy childhood, growing up in a small rural town with his mother and stepfather. A bright pupil, he did well at school and was odds on for a scholarship. That all changed one night a month ago. Cade was in his bedroom when the screams started downstairs. He made the mistake of rushing out onto the landing…and watched as a mass of shadowy creatures tore his family apart.
Why they left him alone he doesn’t know, they clearly heard and saw him, as he wept on the stairs he felt the glowing red orbs of the creatures pass over him. There he stayed until someone came to the house and discovered the charnel scene that had played out in the living room.
That was a month ago. Cade was put into the care of the government, and is still closely psychologically monitored. He is still clearly numb from what happened, he rarely speaks, and his counselling sessions tend to degrade into an hour of sullen silence. Cade is damaged goods, emotionally dead. Backstory: Michael is a ninja trained from some far away land. He ran away from the guild when he was sick of all the lawful good there and turned to a life of evil. Loves to kill, steal, cause havoc. He has little tolerance for good and has a short temper. He solves his problems with violence.
However of recent, he is starting to doubt his life and wishes to do some more with it. He feels his life has started to lose it's meaning. "I have killed a hundred people but never had a single friend." He wants to have more to a life than just senseless killing. He wants to have more than just that. Description: Nemo's been a servant of Draken and the Kyorl'Zuraj for a long, long time. What favour he called upon these dreadful beings has been forgotten to time, but the words he used were not, which indicates he hated a god.
Currently Nemo bids his time wandering the universe, the messenger of his foul masters, every now and then, he is sent to the ACRONYM world to threaten people with prophecies and to generally give bad news. His sense of humour is not dead and frozen, but it is only funny to him.

Physical Appearance: Ludovic Sanceo is tall, although not nearly as tall as Martin. He is perhaps 6'10". He wears a slim, pale grey tuxedo, which upon closer inspection appears to be a bulked down suit of powered armor. His head is enclosed in a silvery, opaque domed visor, which completely obscures his features. He wears special gloves that attach to the suit, which is completely sealed against the environment.
Equipment Carried: Ludovic usually carries no equipment, although he does always wear his suit. Sometimes he will be found carrying his valise or his cane.
Personality: Ludovic, or Vic to his closer associates, is a very warm, lighthearted fellow, unusual for most evil individuals. He's always got a kind word for those who are down, and he is always willing to help out others when they're in need. He has what passes for charisma and wit, although it often has darker undertones. Unfortunately, he is, under his surface, a very cruel and manipulative person. He will often point someone in the 'right' direction to further his schemes, and his advice will sometimes lead the advisee directly into trouble. He always has a sceme in mind, and those around him will find themselves, willing, witting, or not, drawn into them for his benefit. He enjoys having people sign contracts with him, especially if they end up owing him a favor. Favors are rather flexible in definition. He appears to refer to himself in the third person, although it's actually because he's a composite of several trillion nanites.
Backstory: Ludovic began his life, or approximation, as a liquid-state robot, built by Martin. He was eventually upgraded into a nanite swarm, and equipped with a prototype time drive. His last name is actually his original designation-Sentient Ambient Nanite Colony Experiment One. After a while, Ludovic was given the ability to slowly upgrade his own hardware, although he still depended on Martin for software updates. Martin also installed an AI, which he still regrets, as he hates Ludovic's slightly stuffy British persona. Ludovic hitched a ride with Martin when he crossed dimensions, and has his own agenda. He has since refined his time drive, and has used it to 'live' from the birth of creation to the end of the universe more than once.
Speech: Ludovic talks like this. With a bit of a British accent.

Backstory: Michalson has a tendency towards killing or severely hurting people who ask about his past, which leads to a conclusion it's not very pleasant. Another clue would be his constant state of anger and agression towards the rest of the world. There must also have been some sort of accident that gave him several unhealable wounds- one on his forehead, one on each of his forearms and one of his right hand, luckily he is left-handed. Either way, what he was doing before becoming a succesful bounty hunter is a mystery. Michalson is ruthless and compassionless, but he views unnecesary sadism and curelty with disdain, as a silly waste of time and effort. As to his other personality traits, it's sufficient to say that he's an arrogant, misanthropic d*ck. He fervently worships a deity known as Lady Death, who is in fact Mother Eve in her aspect of the Crone, but he doesn't know that.
Appearance: Michalson is a quite tall, extremely skinny half-elf. He's got a strong loathing for sunlight, so he keeps his skin covered by long grey robe, hood and veil. He's got several stiched wounds, gaunt eyes and pale skin, which doesn't endear him to people. He has unkempt brown haird and a short beard.
Abilities: Michalson practices form of magic known as shadowcasting, that is based on manipulating shadows, mists and smoke, as well as, to a limited degree, perception. It allows him to achieve various effects, his favorite being forming shadows into black thorns that strangle and stab his enemies or protect him. He's also good at "jumping" from place to place through shadows. He's very frail physically, so he relies on his magic.
Equipment: Michalson's equipment consist of his staff, that he uses to help him channel magical power and as a weapon, his clothing and his spellbook. His robe is seemingly non-magical, but Michalson knows a spell that makes it able to deflect blows. Description:
Pickman appears as gaunt humanoid with dark greyish-purple skin. His skin is withered and weathered, like a corpse left laying in the desert sun. He has long, thin, pointed ears that stick out from the sides of his head and his dark eyes are slightly sunken. Like a cat's, his eyes reflect light, appearing to shine in darkness. His face, although mostly human-like, has a feral aspect to it with a heavy brow and a wide nose. His mouth is full of nasty, sharp, pointy teeth and his fingers are tipped with short claws. He has small, goat-like hooves for feet. He is utterly hairless.
His chest, shoulders, biceps, and the top of his head are spotted with olive-colored mold. Erratic rows of orange-spotted red toadstools have sprouted from his back an peek over his shoulders.
A pair of ancient, tattered, and stained grey trousers are all that remains of his clothing. Some of the stains appear to be from blood.

Abilities
Although somewhat stronger and more agile than most humans, Pickman doesn't possess many other supernatural powers or abilities. He has extraordinarily good senses of smell and hearing, short claws on his fingers, and fangs. His bite attack can easily crack and splinter bone. If pressed, he can disgorge a digestive enzyme, which stings and smells hideous. The enzyme seeps into skin, and most other materials, and will continue to reek for days even if washed off. If magical means are used to wash the enzyme off the smell will still linger, albeit muted, for a few hours.
Composed partially of undead and plant tissue, Pickman is resistant to many forms of attack that prove ineffective against these types of creatures. However, Pickman is more of a lover than a fighter. And, honestly, he isn't much of a lover, either, given his undead-and-partially-fungal physiology. He can stand up to a stout beating and is never-tiring, but is unlikely to pose much of a threat to an experienced combatant.
Pickman's body is little more than a bipedal colony of fungal spores, connected psychically with the rest of the colony back in the caves and castle Pickman left behind recently. If his body is destroyed, the colony back in the cavern can grow a new body for him in a few days. If injured, he can heal relatively quickly by increasing the growth rate of the fungi that composes his body. Although he does technically need to eat in order to sustain the fungi colony, his dietary needs are exceptionally simple and he can go without eating for long periods of time if given an ample meal beforehand.
The fungal colony back in the caves stretches for miles and is unlikely to be completely erradicated if an enemy should somehow find their way to the caves and attempt to cleanse them of the abominable undead/fungi symbiosis. Given his partially undead nature, as well as the regenerative capabilities offered by the colony, Pickman is effectively immortal.
Although the psychic connection between Pickman and the rest of the colony extends over any distance on the colony's plane of origin, planar travel will cut off this connection, resulting in the colony growing a new body as if Pickman had been killed.
Backstory:
SpoilerRichard Upton Pickman was born on Earth in the late 1800's. While attending university, he gained a reputation as an extraordinarily skilled artist, especially so for his paintings.
However, while searching for inspiration one night, he happened upon a group of ghouls feeding and something about them entranced him. He quickly became obsessed with the creatures and began stalking them; searching for them at night, watching them feast on cadavers, and attempting to follow them back to their lairs before daybreak.
His studies began to suffer as he routinely sacrificed sleep and class attendance in order to pursue his nocturnal habits. It wasn't long, however, before the ghouls noticed he was watching, which could have spelled disaster for him. But, perhaps sensing a kindred spirit in him, they did not immediately slay him. Instead, they allowed him to take infrequent photographs of them which he used as references for his art. He began to paint again, this time depicting a subject matter far darker and gruesome than anything he'd done before.
It wasn't long before he was ostracized and later expelled from the univeristy. Booted from the university dormitories and having no family to return to, he found housing where he could, usually in run-down and dangerous sections of the city. His association with the ghouls grew only stronger as he used the last of his inheritance to seize ownership of a key property and welcomed them into his home, giving them easy access to a vast network of underground tunnels forgotten beneath the city.
As time went on, Pickman's association with the ghouls had more and more of an effect on his body and psyche - he began to transform into one as well.
However, a chance accident led to a large fire in the section of town where Pickman and his ghouls resided. Fleeing the flames, the ghouls brought him along as they travelled with a silver key through a portal long forgotten by men; into Unknown Kadath.
For unknown years he travelled with the pack of ghouls through Unknown Kadath, eventually becoming a ghoul himself. However, his mind remained ever-keen and his skill at artistry never diminished despite his increasingly perverse appetite for the flesh of the living and the dead. He became a great leader of ghouls as the pack continued to grow under his guidance and he fathered many ghoul-pups.
However, tragedy eventually struck. While leading a hunting party through unexplored territory, Pickman and his pack encountered a strange tomb. When they removed the large stone slab covering the sarcophagus they found, instead of a delicious corpse, an iron grate over a deep hole delving down into blackness. Perhaps foolishly, they removed the grate and attempted to better inspect the well-like pit. In the process, however, Pickman and two of his lieutenants fell inside, plunging down into darkness; their comrades meeping their funeral song sorrowfully above.
When Pickman and his fellows finally landed at the bottom, the fall fractured their hardy but withered bodies. Barely conscious and injured beyond ability to move, they rested there hoping against hope they might be somehow rescued. Against hope, it indeed was, for the floor and walls of the pit they'd fallen into was lined with a variety of insidious fungi that slowly began to spread over their putrefied bodies and consume them while they could do nothing to halt the fungi's progress.
However, perhaps by some strange alchemical miracle, utterly destroy them the fungi did not. Instead, over many months, it infested their necrotic flesh in an ever-spreading, unique colony. Though their bodies were eventually consumed, their individual minds mingled together in a newfound consciousness withthat of the fungi.
Utterly changed, yet frighfully similar, Pickman emerged from the colony with a new body, crafted of undead flesh as well as living fungus. His memories intact, though mixed about with those of the other ghouls who befell the same fate as he; though his dominant personality held the greatest sway.
Finally mobile once again, Pickman decided to explore for the first time the pit that would apparently forever be his home. To his surprise, it was not a well alone, but a mere moonlit glade amongst a near-endless sprawl of underground tunnels.
His eyes long-ago turned to the dead orbs of a ghoul, darkness impeded his vision not and so he traveled the tunnels, everywhere he went shedding spore to take root amidst the caverns in an ever-expanding colony of undead and fungal flesh intermingled. Eventually, he came to a dark and lonely castle, long ago buried and forgotten by unknown peoples to unknown purpose. Unafraid, he entered the keep and explored its passages.
To his surprise, the keep contained a vast gallery to the arts and a library unrivaled by anything he'd seen ever at the university of his human days. The keep was well stocked with all of the supplies needed for him to ply his trade as a painter once more, for the first time perhaps in centuries. And, thus, paint he did, amidst the perfect darkness.
At the same time, he would scour the various tomes of the library, ever seeking further forbidden truths and accused inspirations from the illustrations within. Though the study of language was something he had only been a dabbler while human, he quickly mastered a number of the odd and ancient languages the books were written in; almost as if the librams themselves had long waited for him to come and were anxious to share their foul knowledge with him.
Eventually, though, even the eldritch words and images in the cabalistic bibles grew tiresome to him and he longed for interaction with some creatures not of his own flesh. While walking the castle's courtyard, he chanced to spy a solitary beam of light filtering down from somewhere far above - a lone strand of moonlight. Somehow, it had penetrated the canopy of rock forming the roof of the tunnels that he had for so long believed impassable.
And so, with great strength of purpose, he scaled the castle walls, striving to bring himself closer to the light and hoping it would lead him to the surface, out of the caverns that had been his lonely home for so long.
Reaching the spire of the tower, he discovered a metal grate, like that he had fallen through so many years before. Light from a gibbous moon shone through the iron mesh onto his face for the first time since time immemorable. Though barely within reach, he took a chance at the hop up and shoved the grate aside. With a second hop, he climbed into the fresh night air in a graveyard somewhere in the lands of Acronymia. Some fool left the lid off the sarcophagus concealing the grate.
Shedding spore like dandruff, Pickman wandered off in search of someone or something interesting...
Miscellaneous:
SpoilerPickman is very, very old and, though he's smart, he's not a super-genius. Memories from his human life are faded and it takes some effort for him to remember events from that life. He has been a ghoul for far longer (a number of centuries) than he lived as a human (about 23 years) and he has been trapped, alone, in the subterranean castle for centuries since he encountered, and was infested with, the fungus that he currently shares his existence with.
As such, it takes some prodding and experimenting for him to remember how some things work; from doors to the complex rules of social interaction and even language. As such, he has a child-like curiosity about things and will largely be unaware of social nuances or boundaries. He will poke and 'test the waters' where he doesn't understand or remember something.
At the same time, he tends to take the long-view of events. Objects, creatures, and even people seem fleeting and, as such, somewhat unimportant to him. If he breaks something while experimenting with it, he will be unconcerned; simply dropping the object and moving on. He is likely to treat people in much the same way and doesn't easily form attachments unless he sees something or someone that he thinks stands a chance of being around for a while; such as other undead and other immortal beings.
A fusion of undead flesh and fungus, he has no interest in romance and the concept of it is utterly alien to him. Also, his concept of beauty is as dissimilar from human sensibilities as should be expected of a creature such as himself.

Description: Tyler's default appearancence is short, dark blond hair and blue eyes. He's well build, though he's often wearing padded leathers which don't show much of his actual muscle. Tyler always carries a black pistol with him. He frequently fiddles with it, trying to figure out new ways to make it shoot faster, or other types of weaponry. With a bit of magic, the gun can now shoot small lightning shocks.
Backstory: Tyler knows nothing up to the time he was 21 years old. Whether that's due to some sort of suspended animation, amnesia, or something else is unknown. However, he soon realized that he was something rare, an involuntary shapeshifter. On occasion, he transforms without warning into a random form, but he most often changes when he makes eye contact, often gaining a few of his target's features. The process is usually incredibly painful for him, and because of this, he never looks people in the eye, giving him either a timid or arrogant disposition depending on how one looks at it. Tyler devoted his life to organizational murders, finding a group of people he identifies with, and killing their critics or despondants. More to come, in time.

Description: Birdie looks exactly as one would expect him to look. He's a skeletal raven, who somehow can caw and fly as if he were alive. Apparently, he's taken a liking to circular pink glasses. Funny, that.
Backstory: Birdie was once a raven in a blighted land who died of disease in a graveyard. A young Nerull, not even a god at that point, came into the graveyard and cassed a mass animate dead spell, reviving all the dead corpses, including Birdie's. After hundreds of battles, Birdie was the only survivor of the original crop of undead. When Nerull ascended to godhood, Birdie was left sitting on a post in Nerull's maddening realm, to either leave hints or harm the lost souls trying to find their way, depending on Birdie's mood.
Miscellaneous: Despite being an undead bird, Birdie is highly intelligent. Though he cannot speak in common (Though he does speak Avian). He currently lives with Rabbit, though he spends a lot of time around Amour's Temple.

The most important thing to him right now is the chest, which he got in the last town. He knows there’s something special in there,but he has yet to open it.He opened the chest, revealing a book with a enormous amount of postive energy, which knocked him out. Cal found him, but was driven off by the book. In revenge, Cal burned the wagon, the book, and Marley to ashes. However, the energy of the book restored itself and Marley. The trained until he was 15 when a pirate, raided the city. They tormented Kevin because he failed to protect them so he left on the next ship and threw off all his past and denied his destiny. He became a great pirate. Then when he meets his old friend Rose he joined her adventuring party. Where he meets his best friend Cosh and Edward the paladin. After he saved the world by sacrificing himself, the gods were angry and cursed him until he could fulfill his destiny. So the forever travels to new world went he die’s or after a certain period of time forever until he fulfill his destiny
Miscellaneous: He travels with his partner Clucky the evil chicken mage whose world was accidentally destroyed by Sonny. He hates Sonny but has to go with him to survive.

Backstory: BACKGROUND:
The summer of Deryni's birth, the Red Fever was sweeping through the overcrowded tenements of Diamond Lake. When Mara Ironwood died, her brother, himself delerious with fever, cut the child out of her body. He did not long survive his sister, but the infant herself lived when even when her first wet nurse died.
As she grew up, the death that so often stalks a poor community seemed to pass her by. A fire that broke out in the hovels killed her foster family while she was in the mines as a young apprentice. A mine collapse occurred when she should have been on shift, but Dery was in jail, having been involved in a drunken brawl the night before. The illnesses and plagues that happen whenever the population grew too high never touched her, but always took someone she loved. She bore four stillborn children.
The day her last child was buried, her best friend died of childbed fever. Dery was still producing milk, and adopted the baby boy. Mauris became her pride and joy, and the light of her life. Like her, he became a miner, but unlike her, he dreams of escaping Diamond Lake and taking his wife and children to a better place. Though Dery could not imagine a life away from Diamond Lake, she would do anything for her milk son. To help him raise the money he needed, Dery was working extra shifts in the mine, when it seemed her luck had finally run out. When Mauris heard the news of the collapse, he rushed to the mines to aid in the rescue attempt. Three days later, he was himself killed in a further collapse.
Eight days after the collapse, a thin, dirty, nearly skeletal figure emerged into one of the working tunnels, climbing out of a crevice so thin that no sane person would have attempted to crawl through it. The miners could hardly believe that Deryni Ironwood had escaped death again, but soon it seemed that she had not completely escaped after all. Sometimes she seems to be the same Dery that she has always been, but she has not returned to work in the mines. When someone is dying, Deryni often appears at the deathbed without being summoned--sometimes to offer healing, but more often to provide last rites and a terrible compassion. Equipment and Abilities: He's good at being a butler. He has butler things. Somehow gets away with being a butler in only his shorts and a collar. He is a World Class Kisser. Something that may have helped him get and keep many jobs. Also an excellent cook. It seems his kisses also break curses. Who knew?
Butler's touch is now super-charged with essence. He is constantly generating it. Too much of it. In order to act normally he needs to pass it off. A very minor amount can be passed by basic touch. Kissing works much better. And more intimate acts even more. Those affected feel an increase in natural emotions, sensations, strength, agility, intelligence, natural and supernatural abilities, etc. Since it's essence, anyone can be affected. But it only lasts for a short time. Touch a few minutes, kissing a day, etc.

Backstory: After being driven off by an expanding settlement of minotaur, he fled and hid in an underground city of gnomes, where he avoided the authorities on the rooftops. Eventually, he hid under a wagon on its way out and made his way to the surface.

Backstory: Born in the Forgotten Realms, started out as a monk worshipping the death god Jergal. Became a skilled adventurer known for killing the hell out of demons. Was eventually recruited into an interplanar order of paladins. Was a cleric of St. Cuthbert for a while. Now worships all paladin-ish gods collectively, and will call upon whichever one is most applicable to the situation he's in at the moment. Though he is still a great hero, he has gotten increasingly reactionary and ill-tempered in his old age.
Miscellaneous: Surly is often courageous to the point of idiocy.
Surly tends to be relentless and obsessive in pursuit of what he considers the greater good.
Kind and loving to those he trusts, even when they are evil. Those he trusts are rather few, however.
As he's done quite a lot on behalf of various Lawful and/or Good deities, Surly can sometimes call in favors from very, very high places.
